One server working, another not.

Beitragvon keithsound » 29. Aug 2014, 16:09

I use Thunderbird as a mail client and have added Spamihilator to my PC in an attempt to control the junk.
I use one IMAP account from aol.com and three IMAP acounts from secureserver.net.
When I first start Thunderbird, all my mailboxes are updated correctly and Spamihilator does it's work correctly.
After this, the aol.com account continues to work correctly, but no more messages come into the secureserver.net inboxes on my PC. (I can see the messages are in the IMAP inboxes, by using another device or looking online at my web-mail portal).
All the accounts are set up in Thunderbird to check for new mail every 2 minutes, but even checking manually does not bring the messages in. Only by re-starting Thunderbird can I update these secureserver.net mailboxes.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Hi!

Puh, excuse me, but who ever needs to know his new mails every 2 minutes?
This is shorter, than my timeout settings. ;)
Could you perhaps try and work at least with 10 minutes for test purposes?

Kind regards,
Chactory

You are correct! 10 minutes is more than fine.
(I only reduced it to 2 minutes for testing, so I didn't have to wait so long to see if it was working)
I will put it back to 10 minutes and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks!
