The server appears to be unresponsive

Beitragvon monfa72 » 21. Nov 2012, 11:10

Good morning. I apologize for my bad English.
some days I have a pretty annoying Case Study: I configured 4 accout for several years and I never had any encounter any difficulties, but now, when the mail client attempts to download mail from a specific account Spamihilator replies:
The server appears to be unresponsive. cancel connection attempts?
makes it to 10 20 times and finally, at times, also manages to download the mail ... If off Spamihilator receive emails without any problems ...

Ciao monfa72!

I assume that this is a server connectivity problem, really. Every now and then, a problem like your's has been described in our forum. In most cases, as far as I remember it right, after a few days, it did work like before. If you want to go further, you might try if the same problem happens, having deactivated Spamihilator for testing purposes. Also, you could think over, what happened on your computer, e.g. did you change some account properties? And one more idea, you could try to delete the server concerned from Spamihilator's SSL/TLS server list and let it configure itself again, automatically. (Sorry, my english is far poorer, than your's!)

Distinti saluti,
Chactory

Sorry, monfa72,

your answers do not give me any further information, which could help me to go on ...
It could give me more ideas, when you would describe detailed how you went on and
what happened then.

Kind regards,
Chactory
