I'm trying to install the 32-bit version. I currently have 0.9.9.44 installed. The 0.9.9.52 setup asks if I'd like to uninstall 0.9.9.44. When I click "Yes" I get an error message saying "Could not run uninstaller !". Please help.

Hi!

This sounds like a problem with Windows user rights within the User Account Control. Perhaps you have to uninstall logged in as administrator, but I don't really know. Please consider this.

Same problem here and no option to uninstall 0.9.9.44, not in spamihilator and not in add/remove software...

Hi!

Please read the FAQ #8.

It seems the uninstaller has been deleted by your anti-virus software due to a false alarm.

Michel

Hallo michel!

It sounds plausible  .
The other way, I have two PCs with the same AV-software and on the one, it also happened while the other has no problems. I suspect, therefore, another reason which would not necessarily have to do with AV-software or Spami. :?

I did that and now my Blocked Senders and Friends list are blank. I backed up the previous install before deleting it. Is there a way to restore these lists?

Hallo michel!
I just upgraded my previous version to this last one.
I have some messages left on my mail server with my Outlook Express set to NOT delete messages after their download. With my first download after upgrade to v0.9.9.52 the mail's downolad starded from message #1, just like all messages on the server are new...
I really have only 3 or 4 new messages from my last download but the program feels now like I have about 50.

Any suggestion?

Joe

Hallo Gast!

I just upgraded and while the uninstall / install went fine and everything is working, the dates on all the emails in Spami's bin are about 6 weeks in the future. This may explain why your emails are being considered new.

You can find the import option in the Spamihilator settings.

I think that this behaviour is normal, because Spamihilators new installation can't discriminate the mails read already. So, this should happen only once with every mail account, as I have watched with my own accounts.

Hi,
this problem is already recognized by Michel Krämer, the program author of Spamihilator, but not solved until now, unfortunately.

Hello,

I have tried to install the new version, it shows me preparing to install and after then keeps giving the following error...

C:\Users\dee\AppData\Local\Temp\SPI9D19.tmp\spamihilator.msi
The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

I am using Vista 32-bit

I unistalled the previous version with the uninstaller.

Darren

**** I found a way to do it---
In the Folder SPI9D19.tmp I found a Spamihilator Folder and in there ran the spamihilator.exe.
It installed the 0.9.9.52 version.
