Is Spamihilator going to be maintained

It seems as though Spamihilator has not been updated for a long time. As somebody who has used it for many years I am extremely grateful for the work done which created the product but if there is no intention of further work being done I wonder if it might be possible to put the source out into the OpenSource arena so that others might be able to work in it.
