multiple user profiles on same pc

I installed Spami on my home computer and it works well.
I have only ONE problem. I use windows XP and everyone in my familiy (me, my wife and sons) has his own user profile.

If someone just doesn't close another's session, but he simply changes user (leaving the other's programs in background), Spami complains about socket error: another program using ports 110,995 etc., but it's just spami already running in another session.

I think this problem could be solved by using different spamihilator.ini files (one for each user), perhaps under "C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data", each one pointing to a different port.

Else one should run Spami as a system service, with just one config file.

I tried to find a solution in faqs and in the forum but i couldn't (sorry, i don't speak German)

Gives the users full rights to the folder C:\Spamihilator... . it should work with that. Unfortunately, it isn't possible at the moment yet.
However, Michel is already worked on a new Multi-User-Version.

I have already given full rights to users to Spamihilator folder and files on my computer.
That's the first thing I do (I do keep admin and users privileges separate) and if that's not enough, I dig into registry privileges, too.
(got a bit of experience)

If it were a privilege problem, Spami neither would start nor find config file. That's not the point.

Every would work, I think, if I could tell Spami to search for a specific configuratione file. No need for a multi-user version. Just a quick and dirty trick

Isn't it possible? Spamihilator works great!

This gets difficult. Spami knows in the moment only a configuration file for itself.
This is also something, what shall be solved in one of the next versions.

I hope solution will come soon!
It should not be difficult to a programmer as Michel to enable Spami to read a user-defined config file.

I hope he will read this thread and think about it.
I'll go on using Spamihilator, Multi-config would be a nice Plus!

I have same problem too, i use my windows xp with me and my father with another user profiles...

Everybody said, spamihilator doesnt support creating different profiles in the one pc in 2007 but i wanna ask it now in 2010 again...

I have just checked my spamihilator (it's version is 0.9.9.53) but i cant see any option about creating different profiles...

Also i want creating different rules in two different profile if possible...

Please help me asap...

Hallo adilalpman!

Spamihilator (current version) supports separate profiles and sets it automatically when in use. If another profile should be used, you should log off on the other, so there are no overlaps between the profiles.
